HTC M8 SMARTPHONE CHALLENGE

In Aprill 2014, HTC decided to launch its new mobile flagship device called M8 in Iran. To get the new device off to a good start, we needed to engage as many people as possible and verbalize the product.

The HTC One (M8) (also known as the second One or The all-new HTC One) is an Android or Windows smartphone manufactured and marketed by HTC. Following a number of leaks which occurred during the months prior, the second-generation One was officially unveiled in a press conference on March 25, 2014, and released the same day by Verizon Wireless at retail, and by other Canadian and United States carriers for online orders prior to its wider retail availability in mid-April.

Smartphone industry has changed the way people live, and has created amazing new opportunities. We designed a fascinating brief lecture by a contemporary Iranian cinema director on “Mobile Life”, an ambiguous title which referred both to an adventurous life on the move with a phone, and the virtual lives we lead in parallel.

While selfie had become a strong movement in the world earlier, it was at its peak in Iran at the this time. Besides, it was one the new product’s main feature to have special quality in the front camera for selfies.

Bahram Radan, Iranian superstar delivered a second lecture on the selfie movement in the world and in Iran which impressed the audience, and gave journalists and bloggers have valuable content to boost the story.

 

Touch and Feel

The most important part of launching event was giving the VIP guests the experience of working with the newly launched product, and we designed interactive stands and booths to help the audience touch and feel the product appropriately.

HTC One M8’s amazing innovation was to have dual cameras, for add focus feature to photos. We designed a special booth with a stylish young football player as a model to take memorial photos with.
